Responsibilities

Dedicated to family-centered Care, the Children’s Center at Presbyterian encompasses both inpatient and outpatient services for specialty pediatric care.  Our dedicated pediatric intensive care, pediatric inpatient unit, NICU and thriving multispecialty clinic are all co-located at our flagship campus in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  We are seeking Pediatric Endocrinologist to join our team.

 

Summary

Provides comprehensive care services for pediatric endocrinology patients. The Pediatric Endocrinologist leads the care team in providing efficient and compassionate care.

 

Responsibilities

* Oversees and is accountable for the overall quality of care and clinical outcomes of pediatric endocrinology patients. This care will be delivered by interdisciplinary team members to assure high quality patient care and outcomes.
* Manages the physician/patient relationship, working to assure patient and family satisfaction with care.
* Participates in system wide health management initiatives.
* Provides input into the practice site's financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues.
* Assists in the development and implementation of pediatric clinical and service standards.
* Receives and resolves patient complaints.
* Participates in the recruitment and replacement of other providers.
* Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, literature review, in-services, and workshops.
* Consults with and advises other providers regarding optimal and cost-effective treatment of pediatric patients.
* Works to assure patient satisfaction with care.
* Participates in team and multispecialty group meetings.
* Provides input into the practice site's financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues.
* Oversees and is accountable for the overall quality of care and clinical outcomes within the assigned facilities.
* Maintain coding and encounter data standards for completeness, accuracy, timeliness and reimbursement level, including legible documentation.
* Assists in leading the Certified Diabetic Educators in delivering appropriate patient education/care
* Performs other functions as required.
