Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a Board Eligible / Board Certified General Surgeon to join our established acute care general surgery practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We're all about well-being, starting with yours. We offer a nationally competitive salary with relocation allowance available, CME allowance and fully paid malpractice insurance.

 

Practice Highlights:

  • Shift based schedule with no additional call
  • Team consists of surgical partners and advanced practice clinicians
  • Acute care general surgery in an inpatient setting

Responsibilities

Summary:
Physician follows standards of practice to provide direct quality care to patients. Assures that the patient's needs are met and provides open communication with patients, families and other physicians. As a member of the PMG General Surgery group, physician primarily provides inpatient care, consults, and surgical services to patients

 

Responsibilities:

  • Full time general surgery acute care surgeon needed for ISS (inpatient surgery service)
  • Inpatient surgicalist model (all shift work no additional call)
  • Cover only one hospital
  • Tertiary referral center with busy ER
  • Enjoy working with a team of 7 collegial excellent acute care surgeons
  • Cover acute and emergent general surgery
  • No trauma coverage
  • APC first assists in OR
  • In depth training and on-boarding
  • Access to elective surgeons
  • Work 15-16 shifts per month length of shift 10-12 hours flexible scheduling
  • Census: 25-30 Patients per shift including 6-10 consults
  • Opportunity for extra shifts along with extra pay
