Responsibilities:
*Delivers clinical care to patients in the PMG Endo practice in venues including clinic and inpatient consults.
*Certified to perform thyroid fine needle aspiration biopsies
*Trained in the use of insulin pumps and CGMs.
*Participates in night call in rotation with the general Endo practice
*Supervises the care delivered by APCs in the PMG Endo practice
*Support mechanisms to gather and report quality measures
*Receives and resolves patient, staff and provider complaints.
*Participates in quality improvement plans
*Works with the leadership team including DPO, MSO, clinic manager on the practice�s financial, clinical, and service quality performance;
*Participates in the recruitment and retention of physicians and staff who work in the practice
*Takes corrective action when arranged with accountability and authority
*Performs other functions as required
Other information:
M.D./D.O. in clinical practice. Current New Mexico License required.
Board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.
Ability to determine care plans for patients and execute them. Ability to teach, train and oversee APCs in the care they deliver to endo patients in clinic.
Sits, stands, walks 8-12 hours a day. Assumes and maintains various postural positions from ground to overhead.
